2012 JConcepts Southern Nationals in West Monroe, LA on Oct. 5-7.

As last year, they will only take the first 300 paid entries and then fill heats. The reason for this is to make sure that everyone has an enjoyable experience rather than racing into the wee hours of the night. Last year they had 338 entries and it proved to be the right balance.

They have the finest facility suited for R/C racing in the world. It’s a 5000 seat air conditioned arena with a 300'x190' dirt floor that they will build a 100'x200' track in the center with a 15' tall drivers stand. The facility also has an incredible exhaust system than keeps the indoor environment comfortable.

JConcepts has joined again this year as their title sponsor. Other sponsors will be announced a later date

Ryan Lutz, Barry Pettit, Jason Rouna, Ryan Lopez, Jason Branham & Josh Wheeler were some of the marquee names that attended last year and all are set to return again this year. They are waiting on more confirmations for more nationally recognized drivers.

With the combination of a perfect crew running the race smoothly and the unbelievable amount of talent participating in the race, it makes for one awesome race. There were no worries of rain because of the enclosed environment, which had some of the best food I have ever had in house! The track was a perfect combination of loamy/ motorcross style dirt, but it also maintained somewhat of a groove to keep the power on the ground. Tire wear was so good I ran both 45 minute mains on JConcepts Hybrids and they still looked brand new after the race! This race is for sure a race we will be attending this year. If anyone else has something down for October 5-7 this year it needs to replaced for the Southern Nationals because it is one race they do NOT need to miss."
