Philipp Guschl wins the German Truggy Nats with LRP!
LRP team driver Philipp Guschl takes the German Truggy Championship title by winning both rounds in Meiningen and Wolfsburg with ease. The LRP package consisting in S8 TX Team and ZZ.21C Ceramic proved to be too strong for the competitors.
LRP’s top of the line engine seems to have a subscription to the German Truggy title. After Carsten Keller in 2011, Philipp Guschl celebrated the victory in 2012 with blue nitro power. The top-class LRP engine powered the LRP S8 TX Team truggy to the max. Best possible power transfer to the track was featured by the high-grip JConcepts Truggy Half Up tyres. This package proved to be the best choice.
Due to his clear victory at the first round in Meiningen, Philipp had the best chances to win the title. The LRP driver dominated the 30-minutes final and didn’t leave any chance to his competitors. In the end, he crossed the finish line with a gap of not less than two laps on his closest pursuers Thorsten Müller and Burak Kilic.
With the confidence taken from the victory in the first round and powered by the extremely strong LRP package, Philipp started at the decisive round on his home track in Wolfsburg. Unfortunately, he had some problems in adapting the car setup to the very demanding track in the beginning.
Therefore, Philip had to start into qualification without any practice. Based on his great performance, the LRP driver qualified second in the end. It was Marcel Guske who dominated the qualification and consequently secured TQ.
As a result of the setup difficulties, the LRP team completely changed the setup of Philipp’s car before the finals. Everything was ready for the mission to take the title now.
Already the first laps of the final revealed that Philipp could keep it up with Marcel’s speed. The immense power of the LRP ZZ.21C Ceramic engine was transferred perfectly to the track. In addition, the revised setup of the LRP S8 TX Team enabled the young LRP team driver to put the leader under considerable pressure on the very demanding track. And he got faster and faster. He was close to the leader and consequently overtook him.
During the 30-minutes final, it was the 3rd placed driver from Meiningen who proved to be Philipp’s toughest rival. After having passed Marcel, young driver Burak Kilic put a lot of pressure on Philipp. Powered by the LRP S8 TX Team and LRP ZZ.21C Ceramic engine, Philipp Guschl managed to defend the lead until the finish line. One lap behind of this duo, Marcel Guske finished third.
By winning two out of two rounds, LRP team driver Philipp Guschl took the 2012 German Truggy Championship title. Congratulations!
Last but not least, the second place finish of LRP team driver Ralf Dzrzawa in the 40+ competition has to be mentioned. Ralf also relies in the LRP S8 TX Team and the LRP ZZ.21C Ceramic. Congratulations again!
